Conductor, composer, arranger, vibraphonist percussionist, pedagogue and record producer with musical studies in Venezuela, the United States and Spain, percussionist of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra (OSSB) for 36 years during which, in parallel, he developed and played in groups and projects of Latin, jazz, traditional and popular music in Venezuela. Vergara is a specialist in the musical repertoire conceived by the great Latin American and Caribbean creators of all time.
Director of the LatinCaribbean Simón Bolívar Orchestra, founder of the Simón Bolivar Latin Youth Orchestra, the Latin Classical Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Latin Pop Music Conservatory of the Simon Bolívar Conservatory of Caracas, ensembles from the System of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Venezuela founded by Maestro José Antonio Abreu.
Experiences shared with important artists such as: Rubén Blades, Gustavo Dudamel, Celia Cruz, Chick Corea, Oscar D'León, Claudio Abbado, Chucho Valdéz, Luciano Pavarotti, Raphael, Paquito D'Rivera, Eduardo Mata, Placido Domingo, Dave Samuels, Daniel Santos, among others.
Currently, Vergara is based in Montevideo-Uruguay, where he continues working as music conductor of orchestras and ensembles, spreading the richness of the Latin American repertoire.
