Venezuelan composer and arranger who began his musical studies in the Latinoamerican Cathedra of Composition of El Sistema. In 2006 he obtained a bachelor´s degree in Composition at the University of the Arts and in 2011 a master´s degree in music at the Simon Bolívar University. In 2013, he received a scholarship to attend the International Workshop on Composition for the Film in charge of Florencia Di Concilio in Peru.

Awarded with the First Prize in the Antonio Estévez National Composition Competition (2010) of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra with his “Concerto No. 1 for orchestra”, in 2012 Gómez was commissioned by the National Art Gallery to write the symphonic poem, “El Terremoto del Jueves
Santo”. His compositions have generated positive reviews throughout Latin America and Europe, from highly renowned composers and musicians such as José Antonio Abreu, Juan Carlos Núñez, Alfredo Del Mónaco, Alfredo Rugeles, Juan Arturo Brennan, Enzo Filippetti and Xavier Benguerel. Currently, he is professor and coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Music at the Simón Bolívar University.
